After seeing the Duomo from all sides of the square you will access the octagonal Baptistery of St. John in Florence. The guide will show you that the Baptistery is renowned for its magnificent golden mosaic ceiling & striking bronze doors famously called the Gates of Paradise. Later you will visit the magnificent Duomo Museum in Florence. The museum houses over 700 Middle-Age & Renaissance masterpieces, including Michelangelo's Pietà Bandini. It also has incredible masterpieces like the gates of the Baptistery, Donatello’s sculptures, & the original dome’s wooden scaffoldings. As your tour comes to a halt, your guide will drop you off at the entrance to the Cupola Dome, a showstopper but the only way to see the inside is to climb its 463 steps (there is no elevator). On the dome's interior, you can admire Giorgio Vasari's frescoes of the Last Judgement (1572-9) on your way up to the top. Look down & on the base, just above the drum, you'll see that Baccio D'Angelo began adding a balcony in 1507 & how one of the eight sides was unfinished, & to this day the other seven sides remain rough brick! Once you climb to the top of the Cupola, you will be enchanted by the panoramic view of Florence city in front of your eyes. After you visit the Cupola with your pre-reserved timed ticket, you have the chance also to visit the interior of the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, and Santa Reparata & to climb Giotto's Bell Tower at your own pace & time. Tour to Uffizi Gallery in Florence The Uffizi Gallery was used to house the administrative and legal offices before it became a gallery. After entering the gallery you'll see the portrait of Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici, the last surviving member of the Medici responsible for donating all of the family's collections to the city. As you climb the grand staircase to the top floor, where the museum collections begin, explore the architecture of the museum and be fascinated by the secrets, legends, and other various interesting bits of information behind the paintings on display in this gallery. The first hall contains works by Giotto, Cimabue, and Duccio di Buoninsegna and You'll see the paintings of Venus de Milo by Botticelli, the Annunciation by Leonardo da Vinci, and the only panel painting in the world by Michelangelo.

"Skip-the-line" access for Uffizi Gallery is guaranteed, even during peak season (except in the event of delays or strikes by the museum management).

After the first validation, the ticket is valid for 72 hours: you can use it to visit locations listed on your own time (Giotto's Bell Tower and Santa Reparata).

Appropriate clothing for a place of worship is required: access with bare legs and shoulders, and wearing sandals, hats, or sunglasses is not permitted. You may be refused entry to the Baptistery and Cathedral if you fail to comply with the cathedral's dress requirements.

Suitcases, backpacks, parcels, containers, and large and medium-sized bags are not permitted inside the Dome(Cupola).

Umbrellas, canes (when not used to assist walking), tripods for cameras, and film cameras are not permitted inside the Dome.

Knives, scissors, and metal tools that could be dangerous for people and the exhibited works are not permitted inside the Dome.

Please note that the guided tour does not include the Brunelleschi's Dome(Cupola), you can climb the Brunelleschi's Dome on your own (Pre-reserved ticket time) after the Duomo Complex guided tour ends.

With your timed-reserved tickets, you can climb the Cupola Dome 30 minutes after the Duomo Complex guided tour ends.

Where does it come from?

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
